A new generation of BYD Qin EV with a battery life of 421km was unveiled.

On August 19th, BYD’s brand-new Qin EV was officially unveiled. The new car came from BYD e platform, and its appearance and interior modeling all adopted BYD’s latest family-style design language. Compared with the 2018 model, it can be seen at a glance that this is a brand-new model. The new car NEDC has a cruising range of 421km and is expected to be launched in the third quarter of this year.

As a brand-new model, the new car has changed the appearance and interior modeling of the 2018 model, and adopted BYD’s latest Dragon Face family-style design language, and the overall visual experience is similar to that of Qin Pro EV. The front face of the new Qin EV adopts a family-style closed front net, and its matrix LED headlights adopt an open-eye design. Compared with the "Danfengyan" headlights that Qin Pro EV is penetrated by chrome-plated decorative strips, the former may lack a little spirit, but it does have a sense of stability. Isn’t this exactly in line with Qin EV’s positioning?

The sharp front and straight waistline of the new car make it look more energetic than the 2018 Qin EV from the side of the car. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new Qin EV are 4675/1770/1500mm and the wheelbase is 2670mm respectively. Compared with the old models, the new car is shortened by 65mm in length and increased by 10mm in height, and the wheelbase remains unchanged.

The real-shot model is equipped with a multi-spoke wheel rim with a strong three-dimensional effect, and the tire size has two specifications, namely 205/55 R16 and 205/50 R17, and the real-shot model is equipped with the latter. Its tail design is obviously pursuing a sense of stability. Although it is not equipped with penetrating taillights like Qin Pro EV, the taillights penetrated by chrome-plated strips and the simple tail shape give people a good feeling.

As expected, the center console of the new car adopts the T-shaped design popular in BYD family as a whole, and the most striking part of the interior is the 10.1-inch rotatable central control panel equipped with DiLink network connection system. Under the center console of the new car, there is a cup holder and storage compartment with good space, and it is equipped with a delicate electronic handle, and a chrome-plated decorative strip runs through the center console.

In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a motor with a maximum power of 100kW(136Ps) and a maximum torque of 180N·m, while the 2018 model is equipped with a motor with a maximum power of 160kW. In addition, the new Qin EV will be equipped with a ternary lithium battery with a capacity of 53.1kWh and an energy density of 160Wh/kg. The cruising range under NEDC conditions is 421km, which is 21km higher than that of the 2018 model.

In other configurations, the new car adopts front McPherson independent suspension and rear torsion beam dependent suspension; It is also equipped with an independent battery temperature control system. According to the official, it takes 1.5 hours to charge the vehicle from 0% to 80% and 30 minutes to charge the vehicle from 30% to 80% by using a charging pile with a charging power of 50kW. It is reported that the new car will be officially listed in the third quarter of this year.
